Job summary

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and support corporate business systems, including user interfaces, integrations, and reporting. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement in line with organizational goals.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Corporate Business Solutions, you will lead architecture decisions, work across departments, and ensure system integrity and reliable data flows across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer or Health Information Science.
Minimum five years' related experience in web applications, SharePoint, and Microsoft SQL Server development.
Experience with large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support Island Health corporate business systems including interfaces, integrations, databases, and reporting.
Lead architecture, design, and implementation of system changes to support business process improvements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and translate requirements into technical solutions.
