Job description

Notes : Our prominent client is looking for a seasoned DevOps contractor for a 1-year engagement. The role requires relocation to another province. It follows a hybrid office model and offers additional perks.

Responsibilities :

• Develop scripts and tools for automating and integrating infrastructure provisioning on demand in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Work independently with the Engineering Team to design and configure DevOps solutions using distributed monitoring/management technology, virtualization, public cloud, and containerization.
• Create documentation for various audiences to demonstrate knowledge gained from projects.
• Set long-term goals, explore new opportunities, and stay updated with the latest technologies.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and currently residing in Canada.
• Started career in full-stack development and has been in a DevOps role for several years.
• 7 years of relevant DevOps experience.
• 7 years of container application design and implementation experience with Docker (Engine, Compose, Swarm, Networks, Storage, Images, etc.) and Docker management utilities (Docker, Kubernetes).
• 5 years of experience with public cloud infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix system security and encryption (AES, TLS).
• Proficiency with git/github.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
