We're looking for a Senior Software Developer, DevOps who can design, build, test, and ship high-quality software that supports the development organization in delivering value to our customers efficiently and reliably. You’ll be a technical leader on a small, agile team that continuously refines products based on feedback. You will challenge established patterns to improve work quality. The team owns the entire delivery lifecycle, from beta to production-ready scalable products for internal use. This is a remote-first role, open to applicants within Canadian provinces where we legally operate. You will report to the Manager, DevOps.

What You’ll Do

  1. Deliver cross-domain projects, promote architectural improvements, and design code emphasizing best practices, security, accessibility, and privacy.
  2. Lead testing strategies, enhance system reliability, resolve live issues, and oversee observability measures for monitoring.
  3. Own complex projects, ensure timely delivery, escalate blockers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  4. Advocate for technical solutions, build stakeholder consensus, and represent the team in high-level meetings.
  5. Mentor team members, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute to team development goals.
  6. Identify technical opportunities, mitigate risks, and provide strategic insights to improve roadmaps.
  7. Work with technologies like Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Typescript, Docker, Brigade, MySQL, Mongo, Django, GRPC, ElasticSearch, Kafka.

What You’ll Need

  1. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent, and a proven track record of impactful software contributions.
  2. Ability to challenge and improve existing patterns, write impactful stories and epics.
  3. Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Golang, Typescript), experience with containers, and eagerness to learn others.
  4. Expertise in root cause analysis, logging, monitoring, and debugging.
  5. Experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and reliable services, with a focus on security and compliance.
  6. Familiarity with agile, CI/CD practices, and effective cross-departmental communication.
  7. Ability to seek feedback, support peers, and align technical and business goals.
  8. Strong problem-solving, resilience, adaptability, customer focus, and proactive communication skills.
