About The Team
The International Growth team is impact-driven and focused on driving revenue growth in international markets. Our work is centered around running innovative feature experiments that test product-market fit across regions. When an experiment proves successful, we take ownership of building and scaling the solution end-to-end.

About The Job
As a Senior Android Developer at the International Growth team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering feature experiments that fuel our revenue growth in international markets. You will be involved in the entire experiment lifecycle—from prototype grooming to development and the hardening phase. You will also monitor experiment rollouts to ensure our core user experience remains a high-quality bar.

The Canada-based salary range for this position is 145,000 to 169,500 CAD. The final salary will consider your background and experience, and the compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, financial benefits, and equity.

What You’ll Do

1. Work with cross-functional teams including design, back-end engineering, marketing, data science, and product.
2. Design and maintain robust Android frameworks using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, or other relevant frameworks.
3. Lead growth experimentation in international markets.
4. Own and improve existing feature components.
5. Create automation workflows to enhance product quality and reliability.
6. Develop innovative features to bring families closer through improved geolocation, contextual awareness, and communication.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong debugging skills, especially with sensor frameworks and non-reproducible problems.
• Problem-solving skills for complex issues with limited resources.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and experience in making codebases more testable.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Android frameworks, APIs, and reactive programming.
• Experience building location-based Android applications.
• Adaptability and quick learning ability.
• Experience in mentoring and code reviews.
• Passion for quality and automation testing strategies.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and external partners.
• Experience in building and rolling out experiments.

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with location sensors, background tasks, networking, persistence, UI animations, and automated testing.
