Job summary

DRW Montreal is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Trading Data Engineering team. You will build state-of-the-art data visualization and analysis tools for traders, enabling data-driven decisions across Macro and Equity desks.

You’ll own features from data model to UI, work with traders and quants, and ensure scalable, performant systems. The role emphasizes autonomy, learning, and contributing to a premier trading technology stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production software with strong C#/.NET
• Experience with Python and frontend TS/React in full-stack delivery
• Hands-on CI/CD, containerization, and private-cloud deployment
• Strong architectural instincts and durable system design
• Relational database design and efficient querying
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable software with stakeholders
• Agile delivery experience and adaptability to changing priorities

As a Senior Software Developer on the Trading Data Engineering team, you'll be part of a tight knit group of Software Developers working closely with internal users (traders, quants) to develop innovative research and trading analysis tools. As the independent source of truth for the Macro and Equity trading desks, the TDE team makes data universally accessible and useful. Our tools collect, connect, and visualize critical data, enabling Trading, Quant, and Technology teams to generate the insights that drive peak performance.

Who we're looking for:

• 7+ years building production software, with deep proficiency in C#/.NET and comfort working in Python
• Full-stack delivery: TypeScript and a modern front-end framework (React or similar), with the ability to own a feature from data model to UI
• DevOps fluency: hands-on ownership of CI/CD pipelines, with working knowledge of containerization and private-cloud deployment
• Strong architectural instincts and a track record of designing systems that hold up years after they ship
• Real relational database experience, including efficient query writing and careful data modeling
• A proven ability to translate business requirements into performant, maintainable solutions alongside Trading, Quant, and Technology stakeholders
• Agile delivery experience and the flexibility to shift as priorities change

What you’ll be working on:

• Building state-of-the-art data visualization and analysis tools for traders to systemically extract insights from their trades
• Implementing scalable and performant software that supports data driven decision making across four trading desks.
• Soliciting requirements from technologies and traders for algorithmic trading strategy success
• Maintaining trade research and reporting tools
