Job summary

DRW Montreal is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join our infrastructure team. You will build reliable backend services and automation to support engineering and production systems in a Kubernetes-based environment.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, work with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ, and collaborate with developers and infra specialists. The role requires 3–7 years of experience and a CS/SE degree, with strong Linux and software engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's in CS/SE or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years building and operating software systems.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating on Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with RabbitMQ.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing and best practices.
  • Self-directed and proactive, able to drive work forward independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player and problem solver.
  • Observability practices and tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building reliable backend services and infrastructure tooling using Python.

  • Building automation that improves deployment, operation and management of production systems.

  • Collaborating with software developers and infrastructure specialists to solve technical problems.
  • Contributing to technical design discussions, code reviews, testing and architecture best practices.
  • Driving projects and leading new initiatives.
  • Migrating legacy workloads to Kubernetes and maintaining legacy non-Kubernetes production infrastructure.

This software-focused role involves building the services, platforms and automation that support our engineering teams and production systems. You will develop reliable backend software, improve developer workflows and help operate scalable infrastructure in apredominantlyKubernetes-based environment.

  • Designing and building reliable backend services and infrastructure tooling using Python
