MNP is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Technology - Development team in Canada. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable software solutions, applying AI-assisted tooling and modern deployment practices.

You will design, build, deploy, and support enterprise-scale applications across backend and frontend stacks. Mentorship and ongoing improvement of development standards are expected.

• Shape solution approach based on business problems and develop sound technical outcomes.
• Evaluate technical approaches balancing requirements, UX, performance, security and maintainability.
• Leverage AI-assisted technologies to accelerate delivery across the software development lifecycle.
• Validate solution quality, trade-offs, security, maintainability and alignment with business objectives.
• Deliver solutions iteratively, incorporating stakeholder feedback and metrics.
• Review code, designs, infrastructure changes and workflows to identify risks and improvements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and drive development standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and end users to understand business processes, business problems, objectives, challenges, and opportunities
• Utilize knowledge of the business problem to help to shape the solution approach and help develop a sound technical outcome
• Evaluate technical approaches and make recommendations that balance business requirements, user experience, performance, security, maintainability, and cost
• Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted technologies to enhance productivity and accelerate delivery across the software development lifecycle, including solution design, coding, testing, documentation, infrastructure and deployment
• Apply business knowledge, technical expertise, and sound judgment to validate solution quality, trade-offs, security, maintainability, and alignment with business objectives
• Deliver solutions iteratively, incorporating stakeholder feedback, performance metrics, and operational insights to drive continuous improvement
• Review code, technical designs, infrastructure changes, and development workflows to identify risks and provide actionable recommendations
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members while contributing to the continuous improvement of development standards, practices, and processes

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in understanding business processes, operational requirements, and challenges, translating that knowledge into effective technical and product solutions
• Experience collaborating with end users, business stakeholders, and product teams to understand the problem, validate opportunities, and develop solutions that address business needs
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to assess the impact of technology decisions across business processes, data, integrations, architecture, security, and operational environments
• Ability to critically assess and validate both AI-assisted and traditionally developed solutions
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform is considered an asset
• Production experience with the various agentic AI development tools, including context engineering, iterative steering, and critical verification of generated work
• Extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software solutions across both backend and frontend technologies
• Strong ability to review and evaluate application code, solution architectures, integrations, and infrastructure designs to identify risks and promote secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions
• Experience implementing cloud infrastructure and automated delivery processes
