Job summary

Parker Huggett is seeking a Senior Site Superintendent to lead major ICI projects in Ottawa. You will oversee mobilization through completion, coordinate with Project Managers, and mentor site teams to deliver safe, on-time, high-quality results.

You will manage complex schedules, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive site supervision experience with a General Contractor in the commercial, institutional, or industrial sector.
• Proven track record delivering large, complex ICI projects, ideally in the $50M-$100M+ range.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, specs, and building systems.
• Ability to lead large site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with sound decision-making.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Genuine passion for construction and delivering successful projects.
• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset.

As a Senior Site Superintendent, you will take the lead on major ICI construction projects, overseeing all aspects of site operations from mobilization through to completion. You'll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

Beyond managing the day-to-day operations, you'll be an important leader and mentor to the site team, helping develop the next generation of Superintendents while fostering a collaborative and results-driven site culture.

• Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays and maintain project momentum
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents, and field personnel
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and overall site organization
