Job summary

Electronic Arts in Ontario is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own automation and cloud-scale infrastructure. You will partner with Production Infrastructure & Engineering to design, build, and operate distributed systems, focusing on scalable solutions that keep EA's live services resilient and observable.

The role requires deep expertise in Linux, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes/Docker, and automation tooling such as Terraform, Helm, Chef, Puppet, and Packer.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience with virtualization, containerization and cloud computing (AWS preferred).
• 7+ years of experience supporting high-availability production infrastructure with defined SLIs/SLOs.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Networking knowledge of standard protocols/components.
• Automation/orchestration with Terraform, Helm, Chef, Puppet, Packer.
• Experience writing code in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed, cloud-based infrastructure using modern open-source software.
• Use automation to ensure repeatability, reduce toil, and lower MTTD/MTTR.
• Perform root cause analysis and post-mortems for future prevention.
• Design and build CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Create monitoring, alerting and dashboarding to improve visibility into EA's performance.
• Produce documentation and support tooling for on-call teams.
