Horizon Aircraft, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer – Simulation to advance our high-fidelity aircraft simulation environment for next-generation development. You will architect, develop, and maintain simulation infrastructure used across Systems, Flight Controls, Avionics, Flight Sciences and Flight Test.

The role emphasizes model-based development with MATLAB/Simulink, verification activities, and pilot-in-the-loop evaluations, with a focus on framework fidelity and robustness.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years crafting engineering simulations for aerospace or complex systems.
• Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development.

Mansioni

• Develop architecture, content and maintenance of the aircraft simulation framework.
• Establish simulation standards, interfaces, requirements, and configuration management.
• Create reusable simulation infrastructure across aircraft systems and disciplines.
• Ensure scalability, maintainability and traceability of models throughout the program.
• Define roadmaps for simulation development aligned with program needs.
• Develop models of aircraft systems and a pilot-in-the-loop environment.
• Collaborate with test pilots and flight scientists to define requirements and methods.
• Drive process improvements to increase safety and efficiency.
