What we need you to bring.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer - Simulation to progress the development of an integrated aircraft simulation environment supporting our next-generation aircraft development program. The successful candidate will contribute to architecting, developing, and maintaining a high-fidelity simulation framework used for aircraft systems development, integration, verification, validation, and pilot-in-the-loop evaluations. Looking forward to employing a Certification by Simulation approach will require a high degree of framework fidelity and robustness and significant verification activities, particularly regarding the design and assessment of failure accommodation strategies.

The primary development environment will be MATLAB and Simulink, with the simulation framework serving as a central engineering tool across Systems, Flight Controls, Avionics, Flight Sciences and Flight Test disciplines.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop the architecture, content and maintenance of the aircraft simulation framework.
  • Establish simulation standards, interfaces, requirements, configuration management processes and modeling best practices.
  • Develop reusable simulation infrastructure to support multiple aircraft systems and engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure scalability, maintainability and traceability of simulation models throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Define simulation development roadmaps aligned with program needs.
  • Develop and integrate models of aircraft systems, applying a model-based system engineering approach.
  • Develop a pilot-in-the-loop simulation environment to support flight deck design, systems integration and operational evaluations.
  • Collaborate with test pilots and flight sciences engineers to define simulation requirements and assessment methodologies.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our processes to increase safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidates are likely to have the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience developing engineering simulations for aerospace, defense, or complex integrated systems.
  • Extensive experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Simulink libraries and toolboxes and model-based development methodologies
  • Experience developing system-level simulations for aircraft or other complex vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of dynamic systems modeling and simulation principles.
  • Experience with software architecture, version control, requirements and configuration management.
