The Role

We are seeking a talented Shopify developer with deep ecosystem experience, preferably based in NYC, Toronto, or San Francisco, or remote within the North American EST time zone. Your role will involve crafting engaging and high-performing ecommerce experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and increase conversion and order value.

This unique position combines strategic product management with hands-on development to create digital commerce solutions that support our growth in enterprise and DTC segments. Ideal candidates are those interested in blending technical skills with product management, possess strong communication, design sensibility, and user empathy.

Your responsibilities will be split approximately 2/3 in product management—defining strategy, creating roadmaps, prioritizing features, collaborating with stakeholders—and 1/3 in development—coding, QA, and technical implementation.

The ideal candidate has a background in product, growth, or analytics at a high-growth ecommerce startup or agency, with the technical skills to bring ideas to life and impact key metrics like CVR, AOV, and RPV.

First 90 Days

• Own the digital product roadmap and backlog
• Refine sprint planning to maximize impact
• Assess and prioritize site experience improvements
• Develop and ship new features aligned with our vision
• Estimate development costs for prioritization

Day-to-Day

• Manage ecommerce roadmap, write specs, and coordinate with teams
• Assess technical feasibility of requirements
• Monitor metrics like AOV, CVR, and site speed
• Gather and analyze user feedback and data insights
• Contribute directly to codebase, including analysis, architecture, and deployment
• Translate Figma designs into functional features
• Follow style guides, optimize for speed and scalability, and maintain code standards
• Support QA testing and troubleshoot issues

Qualifications

• Expertise in Shopify Plus and the Shopify ecosystem
• Proficiency with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+
• Experience with frameworks like Node.js, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Vue
• Version control and data integration skills (Git, REST API)
• Ability to create responsive, user-friendly layouts
• Knowledge of site speed and web performance best practices
• Experience estimating project costs and validating technical specs
• Attention to detail, design sensibility, and documentation skills
• Passion for learning new technologies and automation tools
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
• Data-driven decision-making approach
• Excellent communication skills
