Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting servers and infrastructure in cloud and on-premise environments.
• CISSP Certification highly desirable.
• MCSA / MCSE certification are an asset.

Job description

Our Edmonton based client is looking for Senior Server Specialist with Cyber Security experience to join their team.

EXPERIENCE :

• Cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection and mitigation strategies
• Knowledge of data centers and associated server support
• Familiarity with storage and network technologies
• VMware and HyperV for both Server and Desktop Virtualization
• Design and implementation of disaster recovery with cloud infrastructure
• Migrating on-prem infrastructure to a cloud Hybrid DR environment
• Administrating various Red Hat and Ubuntu based Linux Distributions
• Leadership and Mentorship responsibilities
• Driving design / architecture would be a nice to have

REQUIREMENTS :

• Degree or Diploma in Information Systems
• 7+ years of experience supporting servers and related infrastructure in cloud and on-premise environments
• Microsoft Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025)
• Automation tools (Azure Automation or Ansible)
• MCSA / MCSE certification are an asset
• CISSP Certification highly desirable

3 month contract to start (high possibility of extensions)

Rate : $80 / hour for an Incorporated consultant

Hybrid work model : 3 days / week in office (Tues.-Thurs.)
