Job summary

Kendrix Technologies is seeking a Senior/Lead Technician in the Vancouver area to lead the installation and integration of security systems across sites. The role emphasizes working with access control, video surveillance, intrusion, building automation, and related infrastructure, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will configure networks, perform commissioning, and train clients while coordinating with site teams and other trades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electronic security or low-voltage systems
• Experience as a Senior or Lead Technician
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings and security schematics
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English (verbal and written)
• Proficient in security networking concepts
• Experience using test equipment (multimeters, network testers)
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment
• Ability to meet project deadlines with quality
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of access control, intrusion, video, and building systems
• Configure security networks (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP) and DHCP/DNS
• Perform system configuration, firmware upgrades, and testing
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with other trades on active job sites
• Complete commissioning, deficiency lists, punch lists, and handover
• Train clients and end users on installed systems
• Provide on-site leadership and act as escalation point
