Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of our products and customer data. You will implement, manage, and improve security measures across our applications, products, and services, working closely with developers and engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities
  1. Application Security: Design, implement, and maintain security processes and tools such as SAST, SCA, and container security.
  2. Security Architecture / Code Review: Collaborate with development teams to review and enhance security architecture, perform threat modeling, and conduct design reviews.
  3. Product Vulnerability Management: Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and web application testing; coordinate remediation efforts.
  4. Security Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor security events, analyze logs, and generate reports to detect threats and breaches.
  5. Compliance: Establish and enforce security policies aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
  6. Cloud Security: Utilize security features of AWS and Azure, designing and maintaining security infrastructure components.
  7. Incident Response: Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field; certifications like CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and security technologies.
  • Ability to automate security tasks and integrate with CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, C#, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with automation pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST 800-53).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range is for the primary location. Actual compensation may vary based on location, qualifications, and experience. The range for this role is:

  • Minimum: $107,200 CAD
  • Midpoint: $134,000 CAD
  • Maximum: $160,800 CAD

We offer comprehensive benefits, and the total target compensation may include incentives depending on the role.
