Job summary

S.I. Systems Ltd. is seeking a Senior Security Design Specialist to implement security by design, mitigations, and verification/testing of security measures. The role is 100% remote on a contract basis with an initial 5-month term and potential extension.

Responsibilities include integrating security into project architectures, using Azure Cloud, AI/LLMs, and on-premises solutions, and following Canadian cyber security directives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT security architecture experience within the last 15 years.
• Experience across multiple security domains and platforms.
• Strong understanding of secure IT architectures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams to implement security by design and test mitigations.
• Develop IT security reference architectures and requirements.
• Incorporate Azure Cloud, AI/LLMs, and on-premises solutions.
• Adhere to Canadian security directives and standards.
• Apply ITSG-33 and ITSP.10.033 Series guidance.
• Prepare documents for Security Assessment and Authorization.
• Support meetings and collaborate with IT staff and clients.
• Include threat risk assessments and system architecture documents.
