The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is responsible for regulating Ontario’s capital markets in accordance with provincial laws. Its mandate includes protecting investors, fostering fair and efficient markets, and contributing to financial stability.

The CSA, comprising securities regulators from across Canada, aims to harmonize regulation of the Canadian capital markets.
Reporting to the CTO, the Senior Security Architect will set security strategies for the CSA ITSO’s Enterprise Architecture, assess threats, and ensure security protocols are followed across jurisdictions. The role involves designing strategic security measures, managing vendor interactions, and overseeing security standards and compliance.
Key responsibilities include developing security controls aligned with standards like NIST, CIS, ISO 27001; advising on security policies; managing vendor performance; conducting security reviews; supporting incident response; and integrating security into DevSecOps processes.
Qualifications include a university degree in a related field, at least 8 years of experience in security architecture or risk management, relevant certifications (CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CISA), and experience with security standards and public sector environments.
