Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, SecOps to lead the security operations function, oversee threat detection, incident response, and monitoring, and drive security program maturity across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will build and coach a high-performing security team, collaborate with technology and business stakeholders, and implement metrics and dashboards to track risk while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience including security operations, incident response, threat management.
• Proven experience leading, developing, and mentoring cybersecurity teams.
• Knowledge of security operations, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and cloud/enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Operations function with strategic direction and service delivery standards.
• Oversee monitoring and threat detection to proactively identify cybersecurity threats.
• Direct incident response activities with timely investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Build relationships with third-party providers and internal teams to ensure effective security operations.
