Dentons Canada LLP is seeking a Threat Operations & Detection Specialist to continuously improve threat detection, response readiness, and cyber resilience across Canada’s technology environment.

The role oversees MDR services, leads detection engineering, supports incident response, and conducts threat hunting. You will act as a technical escalation point and collaborate with multiple teams to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related roles.
• Experience with MDR, MSSP, or SOC providers and alert escalation.
• Hands-on with SIEM and XDR platforms like Sentinel/Defender XDR.
• Experience in phishing, malware, endpoint, cloud, and identity security.
• Knowledge of security playbooks, detections, and runbooks.

Responsabilités

• Govern the MDR service to ensure high-quality monitoring, escalation, investigation support, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and tune high-fidelity detection use cases across multiple telemetry sources.
• Lead threat hunting using SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud, and network data.
• Triage, investigate, and respond to escalated security alerts and incidents.
• Translate findings into improved detections, procedures, and preventive controls.
• Participate in incident tabletop and purple team exercises.
