We currently have an opening in the Greater Toronto Area, ON for a:

Senior Scheduler

The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules using P6 scheduling software, ensuring all project phases are accurately represented.
  • Collaborate with the site team and other stakeholder to align schedules with project goals and timelines.
  • Track project progress, identify potential delays, and work with the project team to implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
  • Prepare and distribute regular schedule updates, progress reports, and performance dashboards to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential scheduling conflicts and delays.
  • Assist in the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare earned value reports, manpower reports, cash flow, and schedule narratives as required by the Project Team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all scheduling activities and changes.
  • Facilitate communication between different stakeholders to ensure everyone is aware of the schedule and any changes.

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in engineering or construction management or a related field.
  • 7 years experience in a general contracting environment with a focus on Heavy Civil Projects including Infrastructure and Rail.
  • In depth knowledge of P6 scheduling software.
  • Prior experience with budgeting, scheduling and pricing of work is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • High level of accuracy in managing schedules and tracking project progress
