Job summary

Rising Edge Group is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead automation design, reviews, and configuration for high‑voltage facilities across North America. You will mentor the design team, set project strategy, and drive quality throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and field support.

You will collaborate with clients and vendors, ensure adherence to IEC/IEEE standards, and manage FAT/SAT activities while balancing office design and on‑site execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• Active P.Eng. or PL.Eng. designation with authority to stamp designs.
• 2–8+ years in Utilities preferred.
• Experience in transmission, distribution, power generation and renewables.
• Proficient reading of electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Eligible for registration with APEGA.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Problem solving and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Design, check, and approve automation and SCADA designs for facilities.
• Mentor design team through project execution and QA/QC.
• Configure SCADA systems, RTUs, PLCs, and networks.
• Act as SME across utility projects including wind/solar/BESS.
• Prepare and review engineering packages and BOMs.
• Ensure compliance with CSA, ANSI, IEC, IEEE standards.
