Job summary

AMARIS GROUP SA seeks a Senior PLC & Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead automation projects in North America. You will develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for custom water technology systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support commissioning activities on projects across the region.

The role requires a strong background in control systems, network design, and VFDs, with exposure to Rockwell/Schneider and ideally Siemens/Emerson platforms. P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, or related)
• 5+ years of experience as an Automation or PLC Engineer
• Proven experience with Rockwell or Schneider PLC systems
• Experience with Siemens or Emerson automation platforms is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of control systems, network design, and VFDs
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred
• Availability to travel to the US
• Programming ownership and design of panels, SLDs, I/O lists, and loop drawings

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for water technology systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and participate in client meetings
• Read and interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines
• Troubleshoot control systems and support network design and commissioning
• Maintain and improve standardized process control documentation and automation best practices
