We have an exciting 4-month contract opportunity with a possible 6-month extension for a Senior SAP Ariba Techno-Functional Consultant.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days onsite and the rest remote).

Must haves:

• SAP Certification with additional SAP Ariba modules (in addition to Buying & Invoicing) such as Sourcing, Contracts, Spend Visibility, and SLP are an asset.
• Proficiency and working knowledge of SAP S/4 / ECC 6.0 specifically in the Area of Source to Pay for Services.
• Extensive experience implementing and configuring Procurement business processes in SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing with experience integrating Ariba B&I Services PO functionality with SAP S/4HANA for Services.
• Extensive experience in at least three large full-cycle implementations of SAP Ariba preferably integrating with SAP S/4 and extensive experience configuring SAP Buying & Invoicing with S/4HANA is a strong benefit.

Role: Senior SAP Ariba Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite

Duration: 4 months, with a potential 6-month extension

The City of Toronto has launched a major business transformation of its purchase to pay a family of SAP Ariba modules to align with the financial system transformation which is currently working on the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. The assignment will rely heavily on a deep techno-functional understanding of the Buying and Invoicing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Performance, and Spending modules. The ideal resource would also have recent experience in the integration of these modules with SAP S/4HANA.

Assignment Duties:
The SAP Ariba Techno-Functional consultant will support the Supply Chain Transformation program in the functional design, development, and formulation of functional specifications needed to inform a best practice solution, and integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions for the identified business process stream. The successful candidate will be well-versed in achieving the below list of deliverables:

1. Configure the SAP Ariba solution suite with knowledge of workbooks and SAP configuration best practices adhering to standard Ariba functionality.
2. Integrate SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, Contracts, and Supplier Lifecycle Performance with SAP S/4 HANA.
3. Maintain Ariba workflow and approval rules functionality in SAP Ariba as it relates to the corporate organizational hierarchy, and Ariba requirements and align the workflow to work in harmony with the detailed design of S/4HANA.
4. Conduct workshops with the business and IT teams to define a detailed design of the To-Be solution for Service P.O. to align with best practices and standard SAP S/4 Service PO-type business processes.
5. Lead the design, development, and configuration of the SAP Ariba Services PO functionality integration with SAP S/4HANA.
6. Manage and advise on data conversion/migration/loading/cleansing/extraction and validation activities across SAP Ariba Modules.
7. Support the design and refresh of the Spend Visibility module including building out the capacity of the tool to meet new City requirements.
8. Participate in all the phases of a project, including project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go live and post go-live support activities.

Mandatory Technical Requirements:
The following mandatory must be demonstrated in the proposal for the candidate to be considered further. Failure to meet the mandatory requirement will result in the proposal being declared non-compliant and disqualified from further consideration.
Must have SAP Certification for the SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing module. Proponents must include proof of meeting the mandatory with their proposal in the form of a copy of the proposed candidate’s e-certificate issued by SAP Ariba with their proposal submission in order for the candidate to be considered further.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent is a definite asset.
• Demonstrated clear understanding of Business Requirements, Statement of Work, and Test Strategies as they apply to projects.
• Demonstrated experience and capacity to clearly articulate functional specification documents that are readily consumable for quick translation into technical configuration and development.
• Extensive QA and test experience in all facets of testing (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing) a definite asset.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and experience in writing test documentation; experience in tracking problems and defects within a large project.
• Experience demonstrates highly developed interpersonal skills including written and oral with a demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and provide effective knowledge transfer as required.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and to plan and execute tasks as well as within a team environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as SAP Activate and/or PMBOK (PMP is an asset).

SAP Ariba Experience:

• Extensive experience implementing and configuring Procurement business processes in SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing with experience integrating Ariba B&I Services PO functionality with SAP S/4HANA for Services.
• Extensive experience in at least three large full-cycle implementations of SAP Ariba preferably integrating with SAP S/4 and extensive experience configuring SAP Buying & Invoicing with S/4HANA is a strong benefit.
• Extensive experience designing the SAP Ariba suite of modules including but not limited to Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP/SIPM), Buying and invoicing (catalogs), and Spend Analysis.
• Extensive experience with Ariba Business Network.
• Demonstrated experience with the above tools and technologies is backed by professional certification.

Technical Capabilities:

• SAP Certification with additional SAP Ariba modules (in addition to Buying & Invoicing) such as Sourcing, Contracts, Spend Visibility, and SLP are an asset.
• Proficiency and working knowledge of SAP S/4 / ECC 6.0 specifically in the Area of Source to Pay for Services.
• Extensive experience configuring SAP modules including, Buying and Invoicing Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP/SIPM), Spend Analysis, SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA, Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Funds Management, Real Estate (Classic/Flex), Materials Management, Human Resources/Payroll.
• Experience with and working knowledge of Solution Manager Change Request Management 7.2 is an asset.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and other computer-based systems and databases as they relate to financial analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with the above tools and technologies is backed by professional certification.
