Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking an experienced Lead Software Development Engineer (SAP ABAP) to drive SAP integrations between ECC & S/4 HANA and ONESOURCE products. You will mentor teams, shape architecture, and collaborate with SAP as a partner across geographies.

You will work on AI-enabled development practices, SAP enhancement techniques, and modern APIs while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, and at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Deep expertise in OOP concepts beyond basic ALV/BADI usage.
• Strong experience with web services (WSDL, SOAP, XML payload), Proxies, and SOAMANAGER, plus modern APIs (REST, JSON, OData).
• Expert knowledge of SAP enhancement techniques (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Points).
• Proven ability to build configurable, scalable SAP solutions with best practices.
• Strong hands-on experience using AI coding tools to accelerate design, development and code review.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Highly self-motivated and organized with strong planning abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced product environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive transformation and innovation of SAP products to deliver higher value.
• Design and develop architecture for SAP integrated solutions (e.g., ONESOURCE modules).
• Lead development teams responsible for SAP integrations, ensuring timely, high-quality deliveries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team operations and code quality.
• Develop frameworks, standards and guardrails for an AI-enabled SDLC and AI-assisted coding.
• Collaborate with international teams and SAP partners across geographies.
• Participate in go-to-market activities with Product Management, Sales, and Services teams.
• Engage with customers to support their success.
