Job summary

Narvar is hiring a Senior Software Developer to design and build high-correctness Rust services in a fully remote capacity. You will work across a polyglot environment, own critical platform paths, and help bring Rust into the backbone of our system while aligning with product goals.

The role emphasizes ownership, safety, and performance in distributed systems, with collaboration across product, design, and frontend teams. Remote-friendly, EST/EDT or PDT/PST hours in Canada.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Strong proficiency with Rust and performance-oriented design.
• Ability to own systems from architecture to rollout and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-correctness Rust services on critical platform paths.
• Introduce Rust in safety-, determinism-, and performance-sensitive areas.
• Own systems end-to-end from architecture through rollout and operations.
• Mentor engineers to improve overall system reliability and ownership.
