Who are we looking for?

An experienced Senior Risk Manager with a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience, seeking the next step or currently in a similar role in a related environment.

Job Description

As Senior Risk Lead, you will be involved in:

• Ensuring the delivery of best practice risk management activities and reporting to the Director of Risk Management and Head of Department.
• Initiating a proactive approach to review, develop, and improve the risk management service to the client.
• Undertaking end-to-end project risk management practice on multiple projects/programs.
• Creating risk management plans and processes in accordance with client requirements, policies, and frameworks.
• Having deep knowledge and experience with risk identification, interviews, workshop facilitation, and techniques.
• Leading workshops with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Conducting risk reviews regularly, identifying, analyzing, and determining response plans, and monitoring risk profiles.
• Leading and conducting comprehensive schedule and cost qualitative risk assessments (QCRA & QSRA).
• Establishing integration of the risk management function within the program, with key functions like cost management, schedule management, change control, and reporting.
• Developing risk response strategies and maintaining risk mitigation processes.
• Working proactively and collaboratively with project teams to eliminate redundancies and identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitating knowledge transfer within the risk team and to the client organization.
• Reviewing and conducting lessons learned workshops to improve risk identification and stakeholder knowledge.
• Working in a collaborative and integrated environment with risk professionals.
• Drafting processes and procedures tailored to client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience on major projects, preferably in Energy, Natural Resources, and infrastructure, with at least the last 5 years in Program/Project Risk Management.
• Multi-disciplinary experience within Program Management or Project Controls.
• Strong knowledge of risk modeling and familiarity with Risk Softwares such as Safran, ARM, @Risk, Oracle PRA, Crystall Ball.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Gained or working towards Project Management / Risk Management certifications is an asset.
• Master’s Degree is an asset.
