Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking a seasoned Risk & Controls professional to join the Business Controls team. You will lead management of material and emerging risks across PBB channels, develop integrated control improvements, and support the Control Framework to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.

This role offers a hybrid work model with two days on-site and remote days, opportunities to collaborate with multiple LOBs and to influence risk governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and remediation efforts for LOBs.
• Manage and improve control framework components (RCSA, Scenarios, Deficiency Management).
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and Compliance exams when needed.
• Provide SME guidance on risk and control requirements to partner teams.
• Foster strong relationships with business partners and defense lines.
