We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the incumbent will supervise Revenue Accountants responsible for calculating invoice amounts, ensuring accurate data backup, preparing invoices, collecting receivables, and conducting P&L variance analysis related to Revenue lines.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices created by staff for accuracy to ensure revenue is correctly invoiced and recorded in the general ledger
• Review schedules, working papers, and journal entries to ensure accounts receivable and revenue accounts are accurate and complete
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments
• Provide guidance and coaching to staff to maintain work quality and productivity while meeting deadlines
• Supervise and monitor the reconciliation process of POS data to carrier data
• Communicate with carriers to address ongoing issues professionally
• Prepare reports and perform analysis, including monthly P&L variance analysis for Revenue lines
• Participate in management discussions and meetings to ensure effective communication
• Perform other related duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in business, commerce, accounting, or related discipline
• 3-5 years relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data organization
• Proven team player with a positive work attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines during peak periods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset
