Job Title: Senior Retail Sports Analyst

We seek a passionate Senior Retail Sports Analyst to manage daily sports product offerings at retail, maximizing sales, net win, and market penetration in line with OLG's strategic goals. This role involves collaboration with the Digital Sports Team and Service Provider.

Working hours: 9:00am to midnight, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director of Retail Sports Product & Operations, you will:

  1. Work with the service provider and Digital Sports Team to determine over 300,000 annual events (about 800+ daily).
  2. Contribute to retail trading strategies including liability management, margins, limits, and product offerings, ensuring optimal in-market products while meeting payout targets. This includes providing insights into market offerings, regional expansion, deletion, and player appeal, along with performance KPI analysis.
  3. Analyze daily sports activities to predict outcomes and wagering patterns, monitor retail offerings, and manage event changes, suspicious activity, emerging issues, and market updates. Ensure compliance with rules and game conditions, and identify technical bugs.
  4. Maintain sports product integrity to enhance playability related to game mechanics.
  5. Support troubleshooting, escalate issues, and coordinate with Customer Care, IT, Service Providers, and other teams.
  6. Assist in product development and innovation by analyzing player behavior, market trends, and testing new features. Conduct research on new sports initiatives and understand player motivations and habits.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Experience: 3+ years in a customer-focused environment, providing exceptional service to high-value customers.

Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, or related fields. Knowledge of sports betting markets, leagues, gaming systems, IQS, ABP, and consumer demographics in Ontario is preferred.

Skills: Product management, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility: Ability to work during hours of 9:00am-midnight, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays.
