We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Retail Sports Analyst to manage the day-to-day implementation of sports product offering and monitoring at retail, ensuring it maximizes OLG sales, net win and market penetration while delivering against the long-term OLG strategic plan. This work is done in close collaboration with the OLG Digital Sports Team and the Service Provider.
Must be available to work between the hours of 9:00am and midnight from Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends and holidays.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Retail Sports Product & Operations, you will be empowered to:
In collaboration with service provider and the Digital Sports Team, determine the 300,000+ events offered to consumers annually (average of 800+/day).
Input to retail trading strategy including liability management, margins, limits, and product offerings to ensure optimal in market product while adhering to targeted payout.
Provide insight to OLG Market offerings and regional expertise for expansion, deletion, and appeal to players
Analyze and report on performance KPIs
Analyze daily activities of all sports and teams to acquire a sense for predicting sports outcomes and wagering patterns with ongoing monitoring of retail offering, including
Understanding of event changes and ensuring proper subsequent communication
Identifying suspicious wagering and retailer activity including GLMS and IQS tracking
Identifying emerging issues due to product, technical, or consumer escalations
Identifying resettlement situations due to market changes and updates and provides recommendations on how to manage.
Adherence of service provider to rules and game conditions
Bug spotting on retail web and app
Ensure sports product integrity to maximize playability as it pertains to game mechanics.
Support issues management and troubleshooting on retail sports, including escalation to appropriate senior staff, and enabling communications with Customer Care, IT, Service Providers, and other internal business partners.
Enable Product development and innovation by analyzing and providing insights into player behavior, market and industry trends and features, provide input into design,requirements, and user testing
Conduct research for new game and product development to support the identification and recommendation of new sports related initiatives
Develop an understanding of the players motivation, expectations and playing habits
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 3+ years of experience within a customer focused environment; demonstrated experience in providing exceptional experiences to high value customers
Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Actuarial Science, or a related field; understanding of the sports betting industry markets, leagues, offerings, and gaming systems that support Retail Sports games, knowledge of IQS and/or ABP preferred; understanding of consumers that impact sports betting in the Ontario marketplace including demographics, behavior, tendencies, etc.; working knowledge of third-party sports betting software and insights
Critical Skills: Product management skills; Communication and interpersonal skills; Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Flexibility: Ability to work between the hours of 9:00am and midnight from Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends and holidays
