About the Role

Our client, a prestigious architectural firm renowned for designing exclusive residential estates and high-end homes, is seeking a Senior Residential Estate Architect to join their practice in Kimberley, Northern Cape. This role is focused on leading the design and master planning of premium residential developments, ensuring a harmonious integration of individual residences with the broader estate environment. You will work closely with developers, clients, and a team of architects and designers to create bespoke living experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio in high-end residential design and estate planning, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating aspirational living spaces. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and master planning for exclusive residential estates and individual luxury homes.
• Collaborate with developers and clients to define the vision, scope, and design aesthetic of residential projects.
• Manage and mentor junior architects and designers, ensuring high standards of design quality and execution.
• Develop detailed architectural plans, site layouts, and construction documentation for residential properties and estate infrastructure.
• Ensure designs comply with estate guidelines, zoning regulations, building codes, and aesthetic standards in Kimberley and the Northern Cape.
• Oversee coordination with landscape architects, interior designers, and engineers to ensure integrated and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification.
• A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in architectural practice, with a strong specialization in high-end residential design and residential estate planning.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex residential development projects from conception through to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to create bespoke, high-quality residential architecture and cohesive estate master plans.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering applications.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes, planning policies, and estate development regulations relevant to the Northern Cape.
• Excellent leadership, communication, client management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating both autonomy and collaborative teamwork.
