Job summary
Obsidian Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Light Oil Development team in Alberta.
You will analyze well and reservoir performance, develop production forecasts for drilling opportunities, and support waterflood management while identifying and executing new drilling inventory. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and P.Eng. with APEGA eligibility.
- Senior reservoir engineering experience with strong fundamentals.
- Experience with production-data analysis, decline analysis, type-curve development, and waterflood surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze well performance and build forecasts for inventory locations.
- Apply reservoir fundamentals to development decisions and optimization.
- Support waterflood surveillance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with geology and geophysics to rank opportunities.
- Assist with annual reserves and present findings to leadership.
- Improve workflows and analytical methods for asset optimization.
