Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer in Calgary, Alberta to join the Southeast Asset Team. The role focuses on maximizing asset value through reservoir characterization, production optimization, and long-term depletion planning.

You will collaborate with geologists, completions and other technical professionals to support appraisal, development and enhanced recovery initiatives across conventional and unconventional assets.

Qualifications

• Independent Senior Reservoir Engineer capable of leading development studies.
• Strong experience with reservoir depletion planning and reserves reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate geoscience, drilling and production data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement optimal reservoir depletion strategies to maximize recovery and asset value.
• Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to evaluate reservoir performance and identify development opportunities.
• Perform type curve analysis, well test interpretation, and reservoir performance assessments.
• Build and maintain reservoir models to quantify resources, forecast performance, and support development planning.
• Apply reservoir engineering principles including volumetrics, material balance, PCTA, RTA, reservoir simulation, and EOR evaluation.
• Collaborate with other teams to determine optimal well designs, spacing, and development strategies.
• Support annual reserves evaluations and reserves reporting processes.
• Evaluate and execute enhanced recovery and production optimization opportunities.
• Support business development activities through technical evaluations and asset assessments.
• Assist with the evaluation of non-operated assets and joint venture opportunities.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and development team members.
