Job summary

You will develop reliability models, translate field data into mission profiles, and help predict product life while identifying potential failure mechanisms. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, battery, systems and test teams to integrate reliability into design decisions, validation plans, and scaling processes as Moment Energy

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply reliability methodologies to assess product durability, expected service life, and performance across Moment Energy's battery energy storage systems.
• Derive mission profiles from field data and operating conditions; develop simulations when data is limited.
• Contribute to damage models to evaluate degradation and estimate useful life.
• Translate real-world mission profiles into accelerated test conditions to reveal failure mechanisms without excessive stress.
• Support DFMEA and other reliability assessments to identify risks, prioritize failure modes, and recommend design improvements.
• Guide discussions and investigations into product failures; identify root causes.
• Recommend non-destructive investigative methods before destructive testing.
• Analyze field performance and test results to identify root causes and opportunities to improve reliability.
• Prepare reliability reports for customers detailing performance and life estimates.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, battery, systems and test teams to integrate reliability into design decisions and validation plans.
• Develop and improve reliability methods, analysis tools, documentation, and scalable processes.
• Use field feedback, test results, and failure investigations to propose design changes across products.
