Overview

We have a career growth opportunity for an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer in our Mechanical Engineering department at Lansdale, PA. Our Design Engineering team includes 150+ engineers across 5 sites in the Eastern US. Join us as we grow.

This role reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong electronics background and applies broad Reliability and Component Engineering principles to CAES products, including reliability predictions, product screening, testing, and component evaluation.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical assignments applying Reliability Engineering principles, making independent decisions on product reliability, maintainability, and safety.
  2. Assist Engineering and Operations by analyzing specifications and designs for reliability compliance. Guide designers on component selection and application.
  3. Monitor and resolve component issues throughout the product lifecycle, supporting design and manufacturing teams.
  4. Review bills of material for obsolescence and availability issues; recommend replacements.
  5. Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing to evaluate and resolve manufacturing issues related to components.
  6. Lead or contribute to engineering projects, coordinating work efforts and reporting progress.
  7. Promote teamwork, collaboration, and accountability across functions.
  8. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years in Reliability and Component Engineering
  • Experience with reliability predictions, FMECA, fault tree analysis
  • Knowledge of reliability FRACAS and data mining
  • US export law compliance and ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years in Reliability and Component Engineering
  • Experience with Maintainability, Testability, and industry databases
  • Ability to interpret datasheets and evaluate components analytically
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Active DOD Security Clearance
Salary Range

Reliability Engineer (Level III): $89,755.50 - $134,633.54 annually. Reliability Engineer (Level IV): $118,701.65 - $178,052.48 annually. Salary may vary based on location, education, and experience.
