Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) seeks two Senior Accountant, Real Estate Financial Operations to drive accurate financial reporting for a real estate portfolio exceeding $8.5 billion. The role involves IFRS consolidation and Luxembourg GAAP, with a focus on efficiencies and robust financial controls.

The position offers a hybrid arrangement with a strong preference for the Edmonton office.

Qualificações

• Completion of CPA designation.
• 5+ years of real estate experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate shareholder capital calls and distributions with approvals and timely issuance.
• Prepare annual financial accounts for entities under Luxembourg GAAP and consolidated IFRS reporting with working papers.
• Support audits by coordinating timely responses to information requests.
• Own assigned portfolio as accounting contact; prepare quarterly management reporting.
• Maintain intercompany loan schedules and transfer pricing documentation.
• Lead annual budgeting for properties portfolio.
• Review LPAs, SPAs, debt and lease agreements.
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare position papers.
• Onboard new investments: Yardi configuration and reporting requirements with managers.
