Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Rail Signals & Communications to join our Canadian team in Mississauga. You will lead multi-discipline projects, manage scope, schedule and budget, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires strong PM credentials, rail signaling expertise, and ability to grow within a flexible, hybrid work environment. MAP and PMP credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 6 years PM in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years PM in rail/signals
• Driver’s License
• 10+ years in public rail and transit
• PMP certification
• Known to public transit clients in BC/AB/ON
• Strong knowledge of signalling and train control sub-disciplines
• Experience in State of Good Repair projects
• Proven multi-project management
• Familiar with design disciplines requiring coordination
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Sponsorship for Canadian employment not available
• This is a newly created role

Responsibilities

• Lead project pursuits and prepare proposals.
• Develop client relationships during execution and attract new clients.
• Plan and manage scope, schedule, budget; ensure contractual commitments.
• Identify resources for Signals and Communications projects.
• Create work plans, schedules, budgets and monitor progress.
• Control scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and changes.
• Lead project controls staff and coordinate with sub-discipline leads.
• Attend client meetings and internal coordination meetings.
