Job summary

Fivetran’s Toronto-based team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to accelerate R&D operations. You will design, build, and maintain critical systems and data pipelines that provide a real-time view of R&D performance and market alignment.

You’ll implement backend services in Python and TypeScript, integrate Jira/Zendesk/Salesforce, and build AI-assisted tools to help engineering managers and leaders access data, draft requirements, and align with OKRs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing reusable libraries and backend/frontend systems.
• Experience integrating Jira, Zendesk, Salesforce, and other platforms.
• Strong SQL and cloud data warehouse familiarity.
• Proficiency with APIs (REST/GraphQL) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of custom system solutions and dashboards for R&D ops.
• Design and maintain bidirectional integrations across core platforms.
• Build AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, docs, and incident resolution.
• Develop production-grade backend services and data pipelines in Python/TypeScript.
• Define APIs, data models, and reliable, secure integration patterns.
• Own observability, production readiness, and internal tool support.
• Build React-based internal apps with strong UX and accessibility.
• Create technical docs for integrations and data models.
• Govern self-service analytics dashboards with Sigma and Looker Studio.
