Crystal Claire Cosmetics Inc. is seeking a Research & Development Senior Chemist specializing in colour cosmetics and skincare.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing formulations with emphasis on liquid foundations, concealers, and emulsion-based products, ensuring regulatory compliance and product performance. The candidate will lead cross-functional R&D activities, mentor junior chemists, and coordinate scale-up from lab to pilot and full-scale production, while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
• 5 years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience in colour matching for colour cosmetics is an asset.
• Self-starter with process ownership focus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and optimization of colour cosmetics and skincare formulations, focusing on liquid foundations, concealers, and emulsion-based products with/without SPF.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of emulsion systems and stabilization technologies.
• Develop emulsion-based skincare formulations with emphasis on texture, moisturization, stability, and active ingredient compatibility.
• Translate customer briefs and market insights into innovative, feasible formulations.
• Support transfer of laboratory developments to commercial orders through effective technical communication and sample delivery.
• Provide guidance on batch manufacturing procedures, process controls, and scale-up considerations.
