Job Description

The opportunity:

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst oversees all quality assurance activities within projects. You will review system requirements, functional specifications, and design documents. Your role includes creating all test artifacts in line with quality standards to ensure the product or application meets established quality criteria, including reliability, usability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all efforts of the QA team.
• Create test artifacts such as test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, test cases, and test closure reports.
• Define, implement, and enforce departmental QA policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
• Identify testing strategies, scope, and coordinate QA environment needs and readiness with teams.
• Participate in internal reviews of test cases.
• Execute test plans, test cases, and scripts.
• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, relevant technical diploma, or equivalent experience in software development.
• 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA).
• 5+ years in software testing.
• Experience in the retail industry (asset).
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
