Job summary

Remote People Ltd. in West GTA, Ontario, is seeking a Lead Quality Control Manager to guide QC across pressure vessel, boiler and welded piping projects in nuclear and conventional markets.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep ASME code knowledge and the ability to drive quality on a demanding fabrication floor. You will own the QC system, coordinate inspections with production and inspectors, and lead a 4–5 person team toward continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Senior-level QC leadership in pressure vessel or welded fabrication.
• Expert knowledge of ASME Sections I, V, VIII and IX.
• Experience with CSA N285.0 and N299 nuclear requirements.
• CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC team of 4–5 professionals on site.
• Manage the QC system and inspections across multiple fabrication projects.
• Develop and maintain ITPs, NDE requirements, weld maps and inspection documentation.
• Oversee welding procedures and welder qualifications (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
• Coordinate inspections, hold points and approvals with customers and inspectors.
• Drive non-conformance resolution and continuous improvement.
• Ensure complete, compliant final quality documentation.
