Job summary

VINCI Construction seeks a Quality Management & Compliance professional to lead on-site QA/QC on major civil projects in Canada. You will organize the on-site Quality Control system, coordinate inspections and tests, ensure traceability, and oversee IMS implementation per internal procedures while liaising with construction teams.

You will manage audits, NCR/CA & ETF processes, coordinate third-party inspectors, monitor non-conformities, and report quality performance across the project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and professional recognition.
  • 15 years of experience in Quality Control on major projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and QHSE regulations.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, tests and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Strong technical understanding and MS Office/ACONEX proficiency.
  • Fluent English communication, both written and verbal, and stress management.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the on-site Quality Control system and its handover.
  • Coordinate inspections, tests, and compliance with ITPs and WMS; ensure traceability and accuracy of results.
  • Oversee the implementation of regulations, contract requirements and the project’s IMS on site.
  • Assist and coordinate with the construction team.
  • Coordinate third-party inspectors and testing companies.
  • Monitor non-conformities, validate corrective actions, and supervise external lab tests.
  • Constantly monitor the Quality inspection and test activities on site and communicate with teams.

Job description

QualityManagement & Compliance

  • Organize theon-site Quality Control systemand its handover;
  • Coordinate inspections, tests, and compliance with ITPs and WMS; ensure traceability and accuracy of results;
  • Oversee the implementation of the regulations, contractrequirementsand the project’s integrated management system on the site according to internal procedures;
  • Assistand coordinate with the construction team;
  • Coordinatethirdparty inspectors and third part testing companies;
  • Monitornon-conformities,validatecorrective actions, and superviseexternallabtests;
  • Constantlymonitorthe Quality inspection and test activities on site and communicates with various team on the project (Construction, Design etc.).

Audits & IMS

  • Plan and coordinate internal and subcontractor audits; ensuretimelyreporting and closure of findings;
  • Maintain the IMS schedule and organize process inductions; develop
  • Toolbox Talks, best practices, and quick tips.

NCR/CA & ETF

  • Oversee NCR/CA processes in ACONEX; ensure the completeness and accuracy of registers and dashboards;
  • Coordinate the defining of the list of ETFs with the Execution team while providing guidance andmethodology;
  • Provide training and support for NCR/CA and ETF processes;monitoranalysis and follow up on progress.

Material& Equipment

  • Review Material Approval Requests (MAR) and ensure compliance;
  • Verify calibration and readiness of measuring equipment for site, survey, and lab operations.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Liaise with QHSE teams; ensure Quality information is available on site;
  • Issue Quality reports, define best practices, and communicate quality alerts across the organization;
  • Suspend the execution of the workimmediatelyif the safety of persons or the environment is endangered, or if a critical factor isidentifiedthat could affect the final quality of the work;
  • Support as-built documentation and final evaluation reports according to project progress

A bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, or a related field;15 years of experience in Quality Control on major projects;In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and QHSE regulations applicable to large construction projects;Heightened ability to conduct inspections, tests, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards;Solid technical understanding;Heightened knowledge of MS Office and ACONEX;Strong English communication skills, verbal and written;Good capacity to monitor the implementation of QHSE procedures;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations;Flexibility to quickly adapt to a variety of situations.
