Job summary

Morson Group seeks a QA/QC Coordinator (Intermediate or Senior) for an Ontario-based project. You will monitor construction quality, oversee multiple teams and ensure compliance with specs, codes and quality plans.

The role requires reviewing plans, coordinating with contractors and managing deficiencies throughout construction. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems, plus strong familiarity with SharePoint and Office 365.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of codes and standards applicable to industrial construction.
• Understanding of quality systems, processes and best practices.
• Proficient with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365.
• Journeyperson in electrical/ instrumentation or mechanical trades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities of fabricators, vendors and work teams to meet specs.
• Review and approve inspection and test plans from contractors.
• Review contractor quality management plans at project start.
• Ensure adherence to the quality control program during construction.

• Maintain an independent work style within a larger project team.

Job description

Role: QA/QC Coordinator (Intermediate or Senior)
Location: Ontario - Blind River
Work Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 11 hours per day
Contract Duration: 12/07/2026 - 12/31/2027

Role Description / Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring the quality of work performed by construction personnel
• Oversee directly or indirectly the activities of various fabricators, vendors and work teams to ensure the constructed asset meets the expected specifications and overall quality requirements
• Reviews and approves all inspection and test plans provided by contractors
• Responsible for reviewing each construction contractor's quality management plan at the start of construction
• Monitors the quality control program throughout construction and ensures the inspection and test plan is followed for the work
• Actively manages and coordinates construction deficiencies with the CMT and contractor personnel
• Coordinates construction turnover at the end of the construction phase
• Highly independent style of work in a larger project team

Skills / Previous Experience

• Working knowledge and general experience with electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of codes and standards applicable to industrial construction.
• Good understanding of quality systems, processes, and best practices.
• High familiarity and comfortable with SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365
• Journeyperson in E/I or Mechanical trade
