Source Code in Toronto (Jarvis St.) is seeking a Sr. Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 11+ month contract. The role is hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

The candidate will perform a broad range of testing tasks across system, integration, and UAT, and will help shape testing strategy and test plans. Requires 7+ years in system testing, strong SQL skills, and the ability to analyze business requirements to craft effective test cases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in system testing.
• Excellent knowledge of system testing methodology and executing system and user acceptance tests.
• Ability to understand and analyze business requirements to design and execute test plans.
• Experience verifying results, examining test databases using SQL, and logging and monitoring variances.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business requirements walkthroughs.
• Perform system, iteration, acceptance, regression, volume, performance, post-implementation and/or UAT testing tasks.
• Analyze business requirements and non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to testing strategy and create test plans and test suites.
• Analyze test data requirements and create appropriate test data.
• Verify results meet expectations and document variances.
• Provide recommendations to the Project Manager on acceptance or rejection of changes.
• Weekly reporting on status and issues.
• Transfer skills to OPS staff.
