Job summary

Source Code is seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 6+ month contract in Toronto, onsite. You will lead testing efforts, define strategies, and coordinate test plans and resources across GUI and non-GUI environments.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of testing experience, strong knowledge of QA principles, and proficiency with automated testing tools, UAT, and SDLC. The role emphasizes collaboration and rigorous test execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts.
• Experience with GUI and non-GUI testing environments.
• Proficient in test planning, scripting and execution.
• Knowledge of data query tools to develop test cases.
• Experience with automated testing tools and test management systems.
• Experience supporting UAT and QA testing.
• Familiarity with QA principles and methodologies.
• Ability to create test data for various testing phases.
• Knowledge of AODA testing and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and phases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team player with deadline-driven mindset.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice on testing strategy, test plans, and tool selection.
• Plans and organizes testing for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments; executes system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Develops test plans, scripts and cases and executes them across components.
• Collaborates with project teams and leads to support testing activities.
