Job summary

Hitachi Rail Canada Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist, Quality Assurance to act as QAM within the Product/Project team, ensuring overall quality of CBTC solutions and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate across engineering, software, hardware, tests and safety disciplines to promote a first-time-right mindset on every deliverable. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Engineering System/Software development or QA.
• Solid understanding of QA practices and Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
• Ability to conduct investigations and Root Cause Analysis across multiple disciplines (System, Software, Hardware, PMO).

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance assessment for Contractual Quality Assurance requirements.
• Prepare Bid/Project Quality Plans and bid quality estimates and process adherence across Product/Project teams and disciplines.
• Liaise with Product/Project teams on tailoring while ensuring adherence to standards (ISO 9001, CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, AREMA).
• Plan, execute and document internal audits and site audits; support audits by customers and independent assessors.
• Manage audit findings and non-conformances; track and report quality trends.
