Job summary

Range Group is seeking a Senior QA/QA Analyst in a hybrid role based in Toronto. You will own the automation strategy using Playwright/TypeScript, design scalable automation frameworks, and drive high-quality software through hands‑on testing and AI-assisted workflows.

You will mentor QA Analysts, work with Developers and Product Owners, and ensure quality across UI, API, and regression testing. Base compensation ranges from CAD 80,000 to CAD 90,000, reflecting market norms for this senior role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance with ownership of test automation.
• Hands-on with Playwright and TypeScript (required).
• Experience designing UI and API automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of automation architecture, frameworks, and data management.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• REST API testing with Postman; SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Xray or similar tools.
• Agile delivery knowledge (Scrum/Kanban).
• Hands-on AI-assisted testing tools such as Claude.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Playwright/TypeScript automated tests.
• Own automation architecture for your product area including page objects and data management.
• Expand automation coverage across UI, API, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD to enable fast feedback.
• Troubleshoot test failures and differentiate product vs. automation issues.
• Mentor QA Analysts and promote quality practices across the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release readiness.
• Collaborate with Developers, PO, and QA Manager on quality strategy.
