Job summary

DEPT is seeking a QA Engineer for a 3-month fixed-term contract in Ontario, Canada (preferably Toronto). You will lead test strategy design and implementation, mentor junior engineers, and build automated frameworks using Cypress, JMeter, and Postman.

You'll analyze results, drive QA improvements, and collaborate across teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle, embracing DevOps and AWS CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Cypress and TypeScript, Jmeter, Jest and Postman.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Proficient in writing and executing complex test cases and scripts.
• Expertise in end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing.
• Familiarity with Git and AWS CI/CD pipelines.

Contract Details

This is a 3‑month fixed‑term salaried contract, located in Ontario, Canada. Preferably in Toronto.

What You’ll Do:

What You Bring:

• Expertise in Cypress and TypeScript, Jmeter, Jest, Postman, SQL/DB, and Jira
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools
• Proficient in writing and executing complex test cases and test scripts
• Expertise in end‑to‑end, API, and performance/load testing
• Familiarity with source/version control such as Git
• Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Compensation

Anticipated hourly range: $45 per hour, based on a 40‑hour workweek. Rate is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. We are flexible.
