Job summary

Citi is seeking a Lead / Senior QA Automation Engineer to elevate the quality engineering function across automation and data-processing platforms. The role combines hands-on testing with technical leadership to design scalable automation, validate data integrity, and ensure dashboard accuracy.

You will work with BAs, developers, and leadership to own quality outcomes, build end-to-end validation, and drive performance testing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of QA experience with emphasis on test automation, ETL/data quality, and enterprise automation platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Python, Pytest, Robot Framework, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience testing platforms such as Xceptor, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Selenium and complementary manual testing.
• Proven UI testing for modern web apps and API testing for service-based architecture.
• Experience with performance testing and translating findings into improvements.
• Strong SQL and Oracle skills for data validation and automated querying.
• Ability to interpret BRDs/EVs and perform data comparisons at scale.
• Experience using Jira for defect management and test tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Selenium-based automation frameworks; oversee end-to-end QA validation across platforms.
• Create test automation scripts for data pipelines, ETL workflows, and dashboard outputs.
• Develop automated validation for server-side components including RESTful APIs and databases.
• Perform UI and API testing, validate contracts, error handling, and negative scenarios.
• Plan and execute load, stress, and endurance testing; identify bottlenecks and drive remediation.
• Create comprehensive test plans, tests cases, estimates, and regression tests.
• Translate BRDs/EVs into scalable, reusable test scenarios.
• Validate data integrity and consistency in Oracle and SQL data stores through complex queries.
• Verify Tableau/BI dashboard outputs for accuracy and alignment with source data.
