Job summary

Netskrt is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Test Engineer to own QA across UI, API, and backend testing in a hybrid role based in downtown Vancouver. You will design automation strategies and implement scalable frameworks for complex distributed systems, with Kubernetes/Docker and cloud exposure.

Requirements include 5+ years in QA Automation/SDET, strong programming (Python/Java), Linux proficiency, and experience with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress/PyTest. Apply to join a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA Automation or SDET experience.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or similar OO language.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills (bash, systemd, file permissions).
• Extensive API automation and REST-based testing experience.
• Hands-on with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, PyTest).
• Strong Kubernetes/Docker experience and cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Version control with Git and modern dev workflows.
• Strong SQL skills for relational databases.
• Experience with Jira/Zephyr Scale or similar test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the QA process and define test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, backend, and infra testing.
• Validate applications in Kubernetes and Docker environments.
• Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Develop automated API test suites for REST services.
• Design load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests.
• Investigate issues across Linux servers, containers, networking, and cloud.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support CI/CD.
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify root causes and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, architects, and product managers.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
